Many poor people have a very small number of pants, and having an extra pair would probably benefit them greatly. At our website we sort the pants by size, and type. For example, small skinny jeans are separated from large skinny jeans. To receive pants, people can visit www.pantsforthepoor.org under the "How to Get Pants" tab. There, that person can find an area where they can select the type and size of pants of their choice.
Goal: The goal of our organization is to collect pants and donate them to those who do not have decent pairs. Our organization collects pants for those who cannot afford pants. We also collect money from many companies like Target, Kohl's, and other sponsors to buy pants for shelters or anyone without decent pants.
Target Audience: Anyone of any age that would like to help by donating pants or money that will go directly to buying new pants. Anyone who is willing to: -Sort and categorize pants -Mail the pants out to those that have a mailing address -Return pants in case of a mistake -Pack pants and bring them to homeless shelters
Future Projects: For no poor people to be pants-less, or have pants in bad condition. We plan to donate at least 10,000 pairs of shorts before summer so people can enjoy a decent pair of shorts in the heat.
Background: Founded in 2011 by two Bedminster Middle School students who created the idea of giving pants to those who don’t have any.
They kept going with the idea and reached out to fellow students to donate pants that may not fit anymore or they never liked.
The organization is still going strong today.
Success Stories: We’ve donated hundreds of pairs of pants to those in need.
Collected over $3,000,000 last summer to buy pants for homeless shelters.
